Some Cummins questions

A couple of the locals have been doing Cummins conversions. They seem to be stuck un the early 6bt because of the ease of getting it wired up. "one wire to the pump and thats about it "

I know the later model is better balanced , quieter, and can create more horse power. But the wiring and computer looks like a real pain in the arse.

So given the choice which way would you go ? and why.

I think Marty went for the newer more complicated motor ,if so how hard is it to get running.
