Airstream trailers weigh from 1750 dry for a 1957 16' Bubble up to 15,070 dry for a 2003 33' Land Yacht. I don't think that you would want more weight than about 3000 lbs behind the flathead 6 and 5.83's. Add a V8 and longer axles and you could easily tow at 55 MPH but not the 75+ which is California highway speed. I use a 1973 W200 3602V and 4.1 for our 1979 23' Safari (gross weight 5800) and stay at about 55-60 MPH.
