M-37s (the whole run), and W100-W200-W300-W400-W500-W600 trucks that are Power Wagons based on the 2wd sheetmetal of the era (1957-1980) have hoods that open front to back.
All WDX-WM300 Cycle-Fendered-Power-Wagons from 1946-1978 (export) use the same basic hood style (I know, there are subtle changes in some years, but the basic shape, style, and way of opening is the same).
In other words, if you are going to look at a 1962 WM300, it should have a side opening hood.
