hood question

Did all of the power wagons 46-68's hoods open side to side? I'm going to look at a 62 today, and they guy said the hood opened front to back. It sounds like it is a m37 to me. Can anybody clarify this for me? I don't want to make a drive for nothing. Thanks, Pete
