You're right! These were known as Weapons Carriers (WC) during WW2. After the war Chrysler civilianized the WC initially as the "Farm Wagon" and later changed the name to "Power Wagon" after all, it would be a cheap transition. Now is a WC a Power Wagon - No! It is the Power Wagon’s predecessor only. The Power Wagon has similarities to the WC and does maintain a Military heritage, however it is a distinct vehicle in and of itself.
