Do truck flatheads use a filter on crankcase vent?

I was wondering if stock engines used a filter on the end of the crankcase breather tube. I noticed one on a old Dodge car and wondered why trucks wouldn't benefit to keep out dust and crud? Or is my truck just miss a part.
