Found a few pages in my 1959 IHC service manual where it lists the front drive axles found in the A160 and/or B160. There were 2 styles of axles available, the 1 piece FA-50 axle housing with removable diff carrier and the 2 piece FA-55/56 split housing. The FA-50(code 02050)had only 6.166:1 gears available. The FA-55(code 02055)or FA-56(02056) had the following ratios: 6.143, 6.166, 6.5, 6.833, 7.166, and 7.80:1.
I can't say for sure if these axles are built by an axle vendor for IHC or if they are IHC's own axle. Harvester did make many of their own axles and also bought vendor axles and made minor changes just to be different. If you have a split case it very well could be a Rockwell or if it's a 1 piece housing it may be their own. If you need any other specifics for the truck let me know.
