I know you need to work out the bugs on a new car and some out of a newer car but this is a Dodge not a Chevy! Wife told me the front brakes were real grabbey when she drove it to the barn gate on the road in the rain last night. I told here they are ABS should not be to bad. Well I took off this morning and the Front Disks just locked up to skidding when you first touch the pedal and I mean barely touch the pedal!! Going about 1/2 MPH it would skid them if I touched the pedal on the gravel drive way. I remember reading some where the ABS kicks in after a certain speed. I got the speed up to around 5-10 mph on the driveway and the brakes started working right again with no skidding. They must have locked up 5 times just turning the truck around and starting down the driveway. Only the fronts were locking up. Hard to beleve that rust formed on the rotors sitting over night but it was a thought?? After it quit the brakes work great!! This has never happen to me in the truck before. It did seem to have VERY TOUCHY brakes when I first tried to move the truck at the dealer after it sat there over night but it was on asphault and did not skid, I thought it was me with the new brakes. By the time I got into the road I could control them better but just figured I figured out the pedal pressure and never noticed a problem till this morning. Any ideas on this?? If it happens tomorrow I was going to try to role it with them on once at first to see if it is something (rust) formed on the rotor over night. By the way the Check Engine Light is staying off now and the ABS light is not staying on or doing anything different other than coming on till I start the engine then goes off. Any ideas?? Thanks, Mark H.
