Brian and I tuned up the truck several months ago. We also rebuilt the carburetor. For months, the engine was running very smooth. One day, it just started to miss - mainly under load. All the plugs had black carbon on them. A lot of smoke is coming from the road draft tube. We checked the compression - each cylinder was 70-75 psi. Could a valve adjustment be needed? We've checked the carb again and everything looks ok. If I don't come up with a cure, Brian will pull the engine and drain my wallet! Any ideas?
