I love my 5:83s off road. Is the type of offroading mountainous? Where I am from it is, therefore you can never have too much gear reduction when climbing and decending and pulling out the stuck Fords 2 at a time!
Are the highways You drive on very high speed for everyone else? If you feel 55 top speed would be dasngerous on the highway maybe you should go with 4:89s. Or go with 11:00 x 16 Michelins and go 60+!The Michelins are more than 3 inches taller than 9:00 x 16s. Very noticable difference in top speed.
