There were lots of great machines at the show-two with Chrysler FH6s, and this one with a Dodge front axle. It is interesting that this tractor is ’58 model but used an early WWII axle with the bolt-on inspection cover. (more photos posted below)
Does anybody know what that thing is before the driveshaft goes into the differential? Could that be a planetary reduction to get the front axle in synch with the rear?
I failed to get a photo of the Superior tractor that was powered by Chrysler. It did really well with the pulling sled. It was a good looking machine!
Sorry for the blur in the photos. I think that was gear oil left over from the Lock-Right photo session.
