OK.
I got a 1941 WC-12. Recently restored. Getting down to particuliars, fine tuning, adjusting , etc.
Now, I took it for a ride today.. Noticed I can turn pretty tightly toward the right, but less of a turning radius to the left.
I took off the steering arm to pitman arm link, jacked up the front end, and moving the front wheels left to right, there is a very noticable difference in side to side movement distance.
Its not the centering of the steering gear box, as its totally removed from the equation.
On the furthest point of travel to the right, it bottoms out on the stop set screw, as its supposed to, according to the manual.
On the left most direction, it doesn't even come close to the other stop screw.
Whats happening here?
I totaly rebuilt this front end, well as far as tearing out all of the bearings and races and putting in new, plus all new bronze bushings, seals, etc.
Is there something damaged here? Is the front axle housing bent somewhere?
I cant see any obviuos damage or distortion, not to say there isnt any.
Any guess's guys?
Thanks, Dave
