Thanks for that reminder, Norm. The truck is a trailer queen, and as we all know, absolutely worthless for rock-climbing and other off-road manly-man activities. It will be used only to attend parades, Vermont Ralleys and the occasional trip to the post office to snatch the latest edition of PWA from the grip of the postal worker.

I am trying to keep it (visually) as stock as possible, within the rational limitations. I would prefer 12 volts, just as a selfish compromise: easier to jump when stalled on the road, and easier to charge when dead in the garage. But I think a 12-volt generator would be nicer to look at than a Delco alternator, and less trouble to retrofit.
