Paul, Do you have an ammeter hooked up in the circuit. If not you can try a shade tree test , turn the lights on for 15 minutes with your voltmeter hooked up and watch the voltage drop.Then start the truck and watch the meter if it climbs you've got output. Don't let the voltage drop too low or you won't have enough to excite the field. RDT
