Harbor Freight or Northern Hydraulics both sell a pressure unit for about $400 or less. It is very aggressive and needs 15 cfm or more to operate properly. You can make a siphon unit for almost nothing. Go to this site:

and look under the thread "Siphon Sand Blast Head" in the heading of Machine Tools and Cutting Methods for some pics on a unit that might cost $20 on a bad day. Like MoparNorm, I have a blast cabinet and filter exhaust unit for small stuff and it is GREAT! No dust and the media recycles.
Around here, sand is $4 per hundred pound sack. It takes a lot to do a truck and you probably won't be able to reclaim it unless you set up a big blast room (maybe some tarps strung on cables?) Wear a breathing mask rated for particles and plenty of clothing including a helmet and face mask.
