Thats interesting, i always new that there was a spell of tension, but never new what the specific event that caused it.Very informative.
On President Reagan,i was stationed on Guam from 83 to 86. He went there in,, oh,, Id say middle of 84.I was one of 6 individuals picked to do aircraft support, hook up ground power a/c,chocks etc,on airforce one, had to go thru a serious security clearance check. Got to see him up close,not to close, that was memorable.
