certainly not over the road trucks
or anything mounted by a professional truck tire shop
you have to use a double nut assembly
with budd wheels !
newer type duals on light duty trucks
soccer mom & RV stuff use a wheel with
male & female type lug nut surfaces and
locating pins so one lug nut can hold both
secure
but flat face budd type need the inner fastner (threads inside and out with a 1 in square head) to secure the inner wheel and then a standard lug on the outer wheel
what need is there for a dual on a Power Wagon ? for looks ??
the standard 9.00x16 tire in single service will carry far more load than the frame /chassis is spec'd for - review Cabels site for all the load data
(duals are used for load capacity)
also duals (and triples) are used on AG tractors to transmit the torque (600+) without loss of traction
