Brake Light Switch ???

The brake light switch on my 50 PW installs vertically, screwing down into a brass fitting which distributes the fluid to the front and rear lines. When filling a new brake line system, how do I "burp" the air out? Should I fill the lines, then fill the hole in the switch, then tap the air out of it and screw it down into the brass fitting? Is this necessary? Any other ideas? Thanks for any and all help.
