Tools required really depend on the state of the PW your going to restore or re-construct.
If your dealing with rust repairs, replacing with new metal is the only way to go for longivity. If you dont have a welder, you can have this work done for you. Removal/replacement of fenders, hoods, cabs beds, require only standard wrenches and screw drivers. If your able to all your own engine/driveline work, a lot of money willbe saved. Same is true with painting, do it yourself and save big bucks.
My suggestion if you have never done s restoration/re-construction, DONT start with a PW that is in really sorry condition. It can easily overwhem you, cost huge bucks and maybe never get done. Look for a PW, needing work that is within your abilities. But most important, is to have FUN !! MAke it a fun project, one that will end on a realistic target date, dont make it a forced march.
