HOWARD , i just did this on mine. i purchased kroil and let it soak in for a while then i started to tap them and turn them. once i got them moving good . i put my head back on . then i purchased seafoam and followed the instructions and my engine is running like a top .after sitting for over 20 years. be sure to drain the oil after pouring things into the engine. kroil by far is the best for breaking things loose. look on the web for kanolabs. you cannot buy it over the counter. look them up they make a couple of different products. they are not cheap. well worth the price. once you use it you wonder where has it been all your life
