Solid State Ignition for B-1???

'48 B-1-PW; T-137 230 flat 6

After reading some of the Solid state ignition information on the below thread, I am looking for some opinions and advice.
1. Does anybody know if the B-1 had a vacume or non-vaccume distributor? In reading the thread, that determines if a solid state ignition is available?

2. Has anyone done this before on a 230?

3. Can anyone recommend replacing the points dist. with the solid state distributor?

4. What benefit is there?
