Did you check the frame number???

The frame number is stamped on the front drivers side frame rail, near the front spring shackle. It should match the VIN tag.

ALl the trucks I have seen have the VIN tags screwed on, not riveted on. I would guess I have looked at the tags from at least 150 plus trucks.

This is not true after 1957, the 58 up tags were screwed on on some trucks, and riveted on others.
