That's cheap in SoCal. But mine didn't cost me that much, I did everything but the machine work myself. Still, by the time you add up the machining, cam, pistons, rings, valves, springs, rods, etc., timing gear and chain, oil pump, intake, carb, fuel pump, gaskets, headers, powder coating of parts, it's still over $2,000 just for parts and machining. Keep in mind this isn't a shlock rebuild, it's balanced, blue printed, magnifluxed, ya, da, ya, da,ya, da...
