I would not suggest towing anything that big with a 1/2 ton truck. I could go down the list of items that would concern me. Basically you will be over stressing the truck. It would be much better to get a 1 ton. Some of the items that would concern me. Tires, wheels, axle strength, brakes, differentials, drive lines, transmission, springs just to name a few.
Assume that you will have 5,500lbs of truck and a minimum of 2,000lbs in a trailer. Do not go cheap on the trailer as that is a lot of weight on it. Nothing less than a 10,000lb trailer. Remember that that is about 7,500lbs with truck and trailer and you do not want to be within 500lbs of max on the trailer.
I would suggest not pushing the max load on either the truck or trailer as you are messing with your and other peoples lives if any one item fails.
