I'm assembling the frame for my 49 P/W & I came to an interesting discovery after rebuilding my springs & installing them...they work!
Once the rust was gone from between the springs & they had a bit of grease between the leaves I can actually bounce the front & back of the frame by hand.
It'll be interesting to drive it & see the difference.
The spring shop I deal with told me not to grease them...I'm not sure why but I can tell you that my springs had never been apart & there was definitely old grease still in the groove of the front leaves so I over-ruled them!
Anyone know any reason why this wouldn't be wise?
