I try to treat each item as a separate problem. Get a fluke or other voltage/ohm meter and see if you are getting voltage at the lamp or device. If you are, is it 12 volts or six volts? If it is 12, then check-replace the bulbs. Check for proper grounding, etc,. It might involve some wire tracing, but its a good way to learn the truck.
