Windshield Frame

I've removed the windshield frame of my WDX and I'm looking for some input on the best way to remove surface rust before proceeding. I've read the archives on media or glass bead blasting and acid dipping as possible solutions. Just wanted to get some input on pros/cons. I'd imagine dipping is most effective but glass blasting more cost effective? Thanks in advance.
