I'm about ready to dismantle the frame, make the needed repairs, clean it up all nice and shiny, and put it back together with a rust-free insert.
As I gather my parts, I am wondering how much torque I should use on the number 8 bolts and locking nuts that will replace the frame rivits. The rivits seem to be a fairly soft steel, and the frame needs to flex. I can't imagine that the original torque was very high. What do you fellas think an appropriate torque should be?
I appreciate your input.
