Dave, Don't forget that for every revolution that the distributor rotor makes, the crankshaft (where the timing marks are at) makes two revolutions. I had this problem last winter. First make sure that you have number 1 piston coming up on it's compression stroke, then continue on up until you reach TDC. If you already have the distributor and oil pump out, proceed like Willy-N was saying. If you haven't pulled the distributor/oil pump yet, remove the distributor cap and see where the rotor is pointing. Then adjust the plug wires around until number 1 plug wire matches where the rotor is pointing. Hope this helps, Robert
