I bought the Miracle Truss 42'-60'-14'(eaves). It was about $23,000 for the kit delivered to my house, and I'll need another $1500 of dimensional lumber. Doors and windows, the whole project will be around $30-$32K I'm guessing. The salesman gave me the names of 3 other miracle truss buildings to go look at nearby. They all looked good, sturdy, and simple. You can dress them up as much as you want. I've seen them put mahogany paneling around the steel trusses, and make a living space out of them. Everyone said they are relativly easy to put up, in a short amount of time. You really only need about 4 people and a weekend or two.
The cost of the building was about the same as the the materials for the pole barn, but the steel building will last a lot longer. I like the look of the wood board and batt siding, but the steel siding has a maintenence free 30 year warranty. I'd rather be turning wrenches on a P-W than painting or staining a barn.
I looked at 3 other steel building designers, and they all seemed to do the bait and switch form thier advertized prices. It was always considerably more than what the ad said for one reason or another. Miracle Truss stuck with thier advertized special.
I know that the Marine Corps uses a lot of the Miracle Truss buildings for hangers and such.
If you really want to find out, feel free to come on up to the house the 3rd weekend in August when we will be tilting up the frames, and putting it all together.
