WC 3/4 tons on 9.00 x 16s and original 5.89 diffs were governed to 55mph and could run at that speed all day.

I knwo a couple of people who took the governors off to go faster and blew the head gaskets on the 230 in short order. Changing to 4.89s would probably get you a good 60mph and keep the engine intact, but forget going any faster.
