I have used several of the POR15 products, namely the por15 silver/ por15 black rust preventative coatings and their epoxy putty. It hasn't been on the truck that long to really tell how it will do (6 mo.) in the long run, but the stuff seems incredibly tough and I would certainly recomend you give it a try. Keep in mind that it's UV sensitive and you will need to topcoat it if applied in an area of direct sunlight. Also don't get this stuff on your skin cause it's not coming off!

: I've often wondered the same. I've seen 2 products advertised. 1. "POR-15" (Paint Over Rust), 800-457-6715. Claims it "permanently stops the rusting process." 2. Bill Hirsch's "Miracle Paint," 800-828-2061. Claims it "will end your rust problems forever." Both ads in Jul 97 Hemmings, pgs. 5148 & 5152.

: Does anybody have real-world experience with these or other products ???

: And Joe, this is my first posting - GREAT SITE !!! Outstanding resource for the experienced & those, like me, who are just learning about PW's.

: Cheers, John
