Dodgeguy, I told you where I got my information, from the showrooms. You don't upset me, nor was I trying to upset you. I consider it just a friendly bout of car talk, or as in this case, truck talk. Views expressed are my opinion, but it is an opinion that's been formed by years of owning and looking at Sweptlines. I'm not dissing 62's, in fact I've stated here on the forum that if I didn't have my 69 Adventurer my choice would be a 62-64 short wide with push button drive. If yours doesn't have any exposed welds and joints where panels didn't perfectly line up I'd say you are lucky.
Gordo, like I said, this whole thing is my personal opinion. I'm not knocking utes, there must be a lot of people who like them, I'm just not one of those people. I do stick by my opinion that most people would consider my 69 Adventurer to be more desireable than a 62 ute, since there were very few dress-up options available in 62, and most utes were plain-jane, bottom of the line models.
Even Don Bunn agrees with me. Quoteing from page 159 of the Dodge truck book, "Everyone's favorite was the 1969 D100 Adventurer Sweptline pickup." |
