First installation of Dennan Overdrive Conversion. The engine is not original and is probably from a late 50' vehicle. It has what appears to be a factory cast iron two barrel intake manifold. I installed a carburetor from my '74 Dodge 318 van. Leece Neville 12 volt alternator and electrical system installed by fire company. Eight foot road plow. It's too big for the truck, but it was free to me, and I only have a 100 ft driveway. |
I have owned my truck since 1990. During a repaint, a decal on the door was uncovered that stated - "New Jersey Economic Development Authority". It was then apparently owned by a farmer, and then the Washington Valley Voulinteer Fire Company in Warren,NJ. The fire company did an in house conversion to a fire truck. It was an area ledgend, in that it was used to fight a fire above the Dock Watch Hollow quarry, a place whare no one thought a truck could go. The truck is a regular participant in local parades and tailgate parties. My Power Wagon is used every year as a Christmas display on my front lawn, and in conjunction, has its' own Face Book page.
