Well, I've been in construction for over 35 year, I always liked Milwalkee until they went to the cordless line and ALL of their cordless tools are from Japan. And frankly their cordless stuff is Junk (the poet can stick that up his #$&^ along with his miata.
Eric was specifically asking about cordless, most guys use makita tools and those are pure junk, you see them on jobsites because they are cheap but they last one job and then get thrown away. All of my cordless tools are DeWalt, I know that they are not as good as the old DeWalt, Delta, Porter Cable, Rockwell line from whence they came, but they are the best cordless tools out there. Stronger batteries, longer lasting batteries, more torque and more pure power than any other cordless tool. I'm sorry but the Milwalkee cordless line is puny and weak, and if you read past the marketing BS, you'll see the made in Japan label. When Milwalkee starts making their cordless tools in the USA again I'll give them a try. As for someone mentioning hitachi and a few other Jap brands, get real! Milwalkee makes the best corded drills, Skill the best corded circular saw, Rockwell the best corded plainer, and Porter Cable the best router, some of my tools are as old as the Power Wagons we drive and still going strong. And just to show I am not blind to off shore brands, I have a Hilti nailer (made in Omaha Neb) and a Bosch roto-hammer. If my tools don't work, I don't eat, this is not a hobby for me, it is my livelyhood and DeWalt cordless tools work just fine, and for you yellow phobes, when you really work, your tools will get dirty, and you will hardly see that yellow color anymore! PS; a real man doesn't use tool holsters.
