I just like the quality & durability of Milwaukee. I've never had a warranty claim & never replaced a tool yet other than batteries for my cordless drill that were over 10 years old. I guess with the light duty stuff, maybe Dewalt is comparable, but I'll never admitt it & certainly not once you get into the bigger angle drills & worm gear circular saws, hole saw blades etc.
I guess my big problem comes from here...I've disliked Black & Decker ever since they let their good quality tools become poor quality crap.(same with Delta) Dewalt is made by Black & Decker & as far as I'm concerned the same tool painted a different color.
I had to buy a new scroll saw & Milwaukee doesn't make them....I don't use it enough to justify the expensive($2000) european one, so the next best was a Dewalt. Oh boy I've kicked myself for not buying the European one....nothing wrong with the Dewalt, but when my customers come to my shop & see that damn hideous yellow saw it's the ultimate humiliation! I'm only hazarding a guess but I'd bet they're made overseas. Maybe not because ol' patriotic Mopar Norm buys them! Ha Ha!
To each his own, but anyone I see with the yellow tools hanging from their belt is a Weekend Warrior!Ha Ha!
All Right, All Right, enough Dewalt bashing!
