in the shop manual you will see references to
"Use Special tool number xxxx"
all dealerships must BUY all specials tools required for work on the models they sell and
service. some technicians also buy their own
set to always have on hand (they sometimes get wings or legs or get broken)
trying to do a job without the required Special Tool can also cause the 'I am now in Deep Vodoo' syndrome
