Well. I have powered a Newgren post hole digger with my rear PTO. Kind of nice that you can reverse the PTO and back the auger out of the ground if it gets stuck. I have pulled and powered a trail-behind Brillion mower to mow a pasture where we no longer raised livestock. I split firewood with a Stickler screw type log splitter. My wife and I regularly saw the waste slabs that are produced from our antique tractor club's sawmill for the benefit of the club so the steam engine operators have fuel to burn the following working farm show. This is done with a belt driven Dellinger cordwood saw with a 32-inch diameter blade. It is a LOT easier on the back than using a chainsaw, and I don't have to worry about a chainsaw snagging and getting away from me. (The cordwood saw and sawblade stay where they are put and don't go anywhere unless I want them to. Most recently, I have been powering a Sears and Roebuck hammermill to grind up the corn cobs that are produced by the corn sheller at our working farm show. It saves having to spread them all back over the recently harvested fields, I bring the ground up cobs home as they make great free mulch, and it is one more working piece of equipment that the visitors to the show get to view in operation. I hope someday to find a PTO driven generator at a reasonable price to use when the power goes out around here. I also hope to find a PTO driven chopper/shredder to help take care of of the dead branches and trimmings from all of the trees we have on our property. This will produce more usable mulch rather than just piling it into a pile and burning it. I have been tempted to buy a grist mill at auction to grind up our own bird food rather than having to pay for it at the local farm store. I also have a PTO driven chainsaw that gets more attention than the Power-Wagon, but since I have a cordwood saw, I will probably never actually use it. Lastly, I even used the PTO on the Power-Wagon to power a local sawmill to cut the white oak boards that cover our cathedral ceiling in our house.

And I don't even live on a farm.... ;^)
