Interesting info John. So which part breaks on them…just the inner housing? I’m tempted to get my machinist friend to machine new steel inners for mine just for the fun of it however the likelihood of me breaking one is pretty much nil so it’s probably pointless. When I had mine apart, the only suggestions I had to improve upon them if a guy was going to reproduce them was to firstly CNC the inners from good steel. Then secondly, one design flaw I didn’t like is the gear in the Center with the axle splines just spins in the aluminum housing when unlocked. Not really a fan of that. Seems like if you could run a needle bearing or even a bronze bushing or something that wouldn’t render the hubs useless after a few years of use. I agree on the Warns but they’ve gotten too hard to get so Itheyre not a viable option for most. I’ve never broken a Warn however I watched one being broken on someone else’s truck. I think usually when a Warn breaks it’s from abuse or from poor maintenance.
