A good explanation and a good reason to never, ever buy ethanol fuel. I use non-ethanol premium in every machine I own that uses gasoline. In addition, I add a little diesel or a little Marvel Mystery oil to that fuel.
I have left fuel in the chain saws for a year and the saws start right up
