i have experienced both problems described by mike as well as russ, the key with mine was the truck would run great till the tank was about half full, then run erratically then quit...i pulled the tank dip tube out and it actually broke in two in my hands! i made a new one. on another truck it was cutting out at random especially under load or acceleration but ok at idle, ihad a feeling it was a blocked line and blew out with air to no avail, then about a month later i was under it checking things out as i was going to install an electric pump hoping it would help when i noticed it eas wet around the frame near a clamp holding the fuel line...obviously blowing out the line also expanded the hole enough where fuel would seep out after using the truck, i made a new line and the old truck is still running today 35 years later!
