I restored my ribbon type, then disconnected it since it seems like a design that will fail if used much. So I use a stick, 3/4” diameter by 4-1/2” long. The diameter holds the windshield open a crack, and the length opens it nicely for 3-40 air conditioning - 3 windows open at 40 mph. The stick only has those two settings, but is much faster to use.
