I aware that the stock rims are 16 x 6.5, but I was not going to use the stock split ring rims. Four brand new 17 x 8 rims came with the truck and I was planning on using those. The whole split ring thing sounds scary.
Does the width really make enough of a difference from friction that the engine has to work harder. I never thought about how the circumference affects the RPMs, but then I have never had to.
