Jerry when I purchased my 1997 CTD I bought it in Maine because the bandits in MA wanted $5k over invoice. At the DMV I ran into a woman at the counter that was pure evil! She insisted that I MUST pay sales tax on the MSRP and not the discounted price. The angrier I got seemed to spur her evil to new heights. I lost my cool and asked her what she would do if she purchased a dress on sale and the cashier wanted to charge her on the full price? Superb! She lost it and at that point the State Trooper came out of the office and asked me to join him. I explained the situation to him and after a good laugh he handed my paperwork to another cashier and walked me out because Cruella de Ville was waiting to re-engage!
