- As Tom said, said start at 1-1/2 turns out from seating the air screw.

- Warm engine to operating temperature.

- Turn screw in or out until you get the highest idle rpm.

- Turn screw in until the engine just starts to slow down, then back off 1/2 turn.

If your carb has a accelerator pump lever under the bowl, move pump link out to next hole. This results in a longer stroke to pump more fuel to compensate going from idle circuit to main circuit to eliminate the stall effect you're experiencing. If your carb doesn't have one, then you have an internal problem with the carb.
