Hey guys and Merry Christmas to all! I got my winch brake installed in the housing its one I bought from VPW and I am wondering if there is a measurement to give me some kind of a start before I assemble the winch? I have the anchor point set with the nuts on and I have the spring and the two nuts on the adjustment stud and it seems very tight when I put the brake drum (the part the pad surrounds) is this normal? I can put the drum in but it takes some effort to insert it inside the brake band/pad assembly, it this normal, or should I remove the lock nut and back off the first nutt as far as possible till after I get it put together then put the lock nut on?
