Doc Dave, you mention you don't use Craigslist due to scammers. I actively buy and sell(mostly buy) on CL, have done so for years now, and have never had an issue with "scammers". I am curious what scam they try to pull. ?
CL for me has always functioned just like the old print classified ad in the Thrifty Nickle or similar(ok, with text/email convo thrown in). I contact sellers/buyers contact me, we decide when/where and they are cash for item transactions in person so where's the opportunity for a scam come in?
I don't do Facebook but I have been told multiple times that the FB marketplace is a good place to buy/sell, similar to CL.
