Hey guys I hope you are well on this fine day!
I have a question on running the engine on my PW with the minimum cooling in place. My thought is to mount the radiator and put the top hose on between the block and the radiator and the bottom radiator hose on from the water pump right side top port to the lower radiator, the install the fan and belt. The plug the bypass elbow on top the water pump and the rear coolant return port on the rear on the head. Then also plug the port on the water pump below the hose that goes to the bottom of the radiator, and also plug the water temp port at the left rear of the engine. Fill the radiator with water and not put a cap on the radiator and start the engine and keep filling water till its full and I can see circulation through the radiator fill. Is this the proper procedure to accomplish this? Do I have everything capped that needs capping without cutting coolant flow?
All comments and suggestion greatly welcomed!
Karl
