The Felpro gaskets I’ve used on the last several are just way too long. I always cut a piece off. Haven’t had one leak yet. I do use sealer in the corners & never had a failure to date. I like the cork extending out of the channel about 1/8” on each end. The last two Felpro sets I’ve bought the cork has extended 1/2” on each side beyond the pan & that’s not going to compress in there properly. I find the key is to put a fillet of permatex in the corners & if it squeezes out...that’s what you want.
