I agree you need to have a purpose everyday, something that gives you satisfaction after you retire.
I am a volunteer at an aviation museum. I am a mechanic working on a B-25 bomber, other smaller vintage airplanes, and the misc stuff like forklifts, tugs, mowers and such.
I obtained my co-pilot rating in the B-25 this summer, and have been helping fly it to and from airshows.
I dont get paid for any of this, but I’m doing what I enjoy, and have enough money to live without a paycheck.
People told me I wouldnt like being retired, but they were wrong.
